How to Get More Restaurant Customers as a Supplier

Simple and effective ways to reach hotels, restaurants and caterers.

A busy restaurant kitchen counter

1. Know What Restaurants Want

A kitchen can't run out of milk, paneer or vegetables mid-service. Restaurants value on-time delivery, consistent quality and a fair price — usually in that order. A supplier who never misses the morning delivery wins over a cheaper one who sometimes does.

2. Make Ordering Easy

Let regular customers set a standing order — the same items every day or every week — that you deliver without a call. For the rest, take orders the way they like: a call, a WhatsApp message or a visit from your salesman, written down in one place so nothing is missed.

3. Start Small and Earn the Bigger Order

Ask for one or two items first — the ones their current supplier struggles with. Deliver them perfectly for a few weeks, then offer the rest of the list. Agree rates per customer in writing so the bill always matches what was promised.

4. Give Credit Carefully

Most restaurants buy on credit. Agree a limit and the number of days for each one, send a statement every week, and follow up on dues politely before they grow. Good customers respect a supplier who keeps clean accounts.
