Sound familiar?
Dues in a notebook
Nobody can say today’s total outstanding without an hour of adding up.
Arguments about balances
A customer says they paid; the notebook says otherwise; nobody can show the record.
Salesmen chasing payments
Hours go into calling and visiting customers for money, without knowing who is most overdue.
What the khata does
What works today, what is coming soon, and the plans that include each.
A ledger that is never edited
Every invoice and payment is a line in the customer’s khata. A mistake is fixed with a reversing entry, so the history is always complete.
All plans
Payments by cash, UPI, cheque or bank
Record full or part payments; they are matched to the oldest invoices first.
All plans
Advances and credit balances
Money paid in advance stays on the customer’s account and counts against their next invoices.
All plans
Statements and dues ageing
A statement for any customer, and dues split into 0–30, 31–60 and 60+ days.

All plans
Advance as a balance on the link
Coming soonA customer’s advance shows on their ordering link, and new invoices are paid from it. The money is already yours.
All plans
Credit limits that hold orders
An order that takes a customer past their credit limit waits until the owner or a manager confirms it.
Growth and Pro
Post-dated cheques
PlannedCheques dated ahead, tracked until they clear. A bounced cheque is reversed in the khata today.
Growth and Pro
Coming soon: being built now. Planned: after the pilot. Everything without a label works today.
Khata and dues, step by step
- 1
Bring in opening dues
From Excel, or one customer at a time.
- 2
Invoices add up by themselves
Each invoice lands in the customer’s khata the moment it is made.
- 3
Record payments
Cash, UPI, cheque or bank transfer — full or part.
- 4
Follow up
See who is overdue and send a reminder with a UPI pay link.
Dues you can trust
Wrong dues destroy trust, so the khata follows strict rules: amounts are kept in paise, nothing is ever edited or deleted, and a payment recorded twice by a dropped network is still counted once. The maths is checked by thousands of automatic tests.
- Never edited — only reversing entries
- Oldest invoices paid first
- Statements any customer can follow
Questions about khata and dues
Can I edit or delete a payment entered by mistake?
No — and that is on purpose. A mistake is fixed with a reversing entry, so the khata always shows what happened and when. Nobody can quietly change a balance.
How are part payments handled?
A part payment is matched to the customer’s oldest unpaid invoices first, and the rest stays due.
Can I record an advance payment?
Yes. An advance stays on the customer’s account as a credit and counts against their next invoices.
Does Billzova collect money for me?
No. Customers pay you directly — cash, cheque, bank transfer, or UPI to your own UPI ID. Billzova never holds your money.
Are reminders sent automatically?
Today you send a ready-made reminder from your own WhatsApp in one tap. Automatic reminders on a schedule you set are coming soon on Growth and Pro.
